Ikarios was the father of Erigone in Greek myth.

One day, Ikarios and his daugther welcomed Dionysos into their home. During his stay, the god showed his hosts how to cultivate grapes and turn them into wine. Some time later, Ikarios gave some wine to a few shepherds who, unused to feeling drunk, thought that he had poisoned them and killed him in response.[1]
