Tracking clues to the city's [[Krokodilopolis Arena|arena]], Bayek was able to gain access through an old friend, [[Kensa]], forming a team known as the "Siwan Warriors". The Faiyum Oasis is a depression located in central Egypt, west of the Nile and south of Saqqara Nome, that fed directly into the river. The city of Krokodilopolis was located on a series of islands in the southern part of the oasis. During the 1st century BCE, Berenike served as the nomarch of the region.

In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa travelled to Krokodilopolis in pursuit of "the Crocodile", a member of the Order of the Ancients who had murdered Hotephres and Khenut's daughter, Shadya.
