A view of the Dikte Plateau

The Dikte Plateau was the central region of Pephka, Greece. Ruled by plains amidst mountainous peaks, the arid landscape gave birth to various legends.

History[edit | edit source]

Following the Greco-Persian Wars, the friends Skoura and Maion came to Pephka, and established a hidden arena in the northern shores of Dikte Plateau.[1]

In Lato, the main settlement in the Minotaur Hills next to Dikte Plateau, as well as within the Warrior's Rest, a village in the plateau itself, the story claimed that the Minotaur himself dwelt within a cave near the Death Gorge in the plateau.[2][3][4]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra heard of these things, and came to explore the region.[2][1]
