Biography[edit | edit source]

New York riots[edit | edit source]

In 1863, while touring in New York City, Adelina performed at Niblo's Garden before being driven back to her hotel room at the Fifth Avenue Hotel. On the ride home, she was attacked by several thugs,[1] but was saved by police officer Tommy Greyling.[2] As he was escorting her back to safety, riots started in the city and the two spent a couple of days together, hiding and developing a mutual attraction.[3]

Later, while fleeing the looting of Greyling's brother's house,[3] they witnessed an old man named Abraham being beaten by a group of white rioters, and Greyling saved the aging man. However, he was seriously injured and adamant about finding his daughter, Eliza.[4] They helped him back to the house of his employer, met Eliza, and sadly witnessed the death of the old man. They also witnessed the start of a fight between the Assassin Varius and the Templar Cudgel Cormac, the former of whom had accompanied Eliza.[5]

Patti and Tommy later helped Eliza bring Varius to a hospital after he sustained injuries during his fight with Cudgel. Before going their separate ways, the two professed their love for each other, despite Greyling's previous comments about being too different. Patti was subsequently escorted to her aunt in New Jersey by Eliza.[5]

Legacy[edit | edit source]

In 2016, Patti's genetic memories were relived by her descendant Natalya Aliyev who, alongside other teenagers recruited by the mysterious Sebastian Monroe, sought to find a Dagger of Eden that had been present during the New York riots.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

While Adelina Patti was recorded as dying childless, she in fact had a secret child, through whom she became Natalya's ancestor.
