Florine was a member of the Parisian Brotherhood of Assassins, and the biological mother of Margaux.[1]

Biography[edit | edit source]

While on a mission to secure a Shroud of Eden with Isaac du Queyran circa 1593, the pair were discovered by Templars and forced into hiding. Upon finding out she was pregnant, Isaac took Florine to a healer he knew, Catherine. Florine almost perished in childbirth, but she was saved by Isaac using the Shroud of Eden on her. The pair gave Catherine both the child and the Shroud for safekeeping and left.[1]

For the next several years, Florine kept away from Catherine and Margaux to protect her daughter, knowing the Templars would attempt to use Margaux to get to her.[2] She would eventually die sometime prior to 1609.[3]

Personality and traits[edit | edit source]

Her daughter was said to be the spitting image of her, both in appearance and temperament.[3][4]

Florine had a higher concentration of Isu DNA than average, making her "blood strong enough to resonate with the Precursors' artifacts", as fellow Assassin Avicenne put it.[3] This was passed onto Margaux, who was able to use the Shroud in mere seconds, rather than the twenty minutes it took her adoptive mother and sister.[2]
