Pandaros was an archer who lived in Messara, Greece during the Peloponnesian War.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Pandaros formerly worked as an archer during the 5th century BCE. When the Peloponnesian War broke out, Pandaros came across the Followers of Ares, a cult who worshipped the god of war Ares. Pandaros joined the cult thinking he could make a quick buck, but found himself in a faction where numerous murders and sacrifices were conducted. While stationed in the Cave of Rhea, Pandaros attempted to desert with some valuables in tow, but was discovered. As a consequence, he was stripped of his clothing and valuables, including an heirloom amulet given to him by his mother. He was then tied up and left outside the cave to be eaten by vultures and wolves.[1]

Fortunately for Pandaros, the Spartan misthios Kassandra heard his cries for help during her journey. After Kassandra defeated a pack of wolves, she freed Pandaros, who told her about the cave and the leader of the Followers of Ares therein, about his amulet and other effects. Pandaros also offered to work for the misthios on her ship the Adrestia, should she ever be interested.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Depending on choices made, Pandaros can be recruited as a crew member aboard the Adrestia.
    • Despite Kassandra telling him to put on clothes, he's just as naked aboard the Adrestia as in Messara.
  • Pandaros' heirloom amulet is stamped with the image of an owl. As this is Athens' emblem, his family may hail from the region.
  • Pandaros shares his name with a Trojan aristocrat.
