The Silver Mine was the actual mine of the Lavrio Silver Mine, which delved deep into the Silver Mountain near Lavrio during the 5th century BCE.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited Lavrio, encountering there the slave Phaidon and master, a member of the Cult of Kosmos' Eyes of Kosmos branch.[1] While there, Kassandra explored the depths of the mine, finding deep within a chest containing a letter from The Silver Griffin to the mine's overseer, requesting his presence at the Prasonisia Island[2], as well as the piece of armor he had taken from Epiktetos following his death.[3]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The mine is effectively a restricted location "within" a restricted location; its only entrance is at the rear of the Lavrio Silver Mine. Once inside, there is only one path in and out and few places to hide from guards. As the game can only save and load from the last moment the player entered a restricted location, it may behoove players, particularly on higher difficulties, to clear as much of the Lavrio Silver Mine as possible, then walk out to save again, before attempting to claim the armor and Cultist clue from the mine proper.
