The Phaleron Sandy Bay Is a region of Attika, Greece, located southwest of Athens.

Once housing the main port of Attika, the region was largely uninhabited by the time of the Peloponnesian War, when the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited it. The region was also notable for its Temple of Hera, which had been burned down during the Greco-Persian Wars, and was never rebuilt. Instead, the Athenians placed a painted statue of the goddess within the ruins.[1]
