Nestor (died c. 422 BCE), also known as the Formidable, was a Greek admiral and a member of the Order of the Storm.
The captain of the Formidable, in around 422 BCE Nestor patrolled the waters around Achaia on the orders of the Tempest to blockade the region. [1] During the blockade, Nestor sunk several ships. On one occasion, after running a fleet into the rocks near the fortress he had taken, he wrote a letter to his fellow Ancient the Broker informing him of the three ships worth of unspoiled wood for his shipyard, he also warned the Broker about the Eagle Bearer.[2]
However, Nestor's letter was found by the Eagle Bearer–the Spartan misthios Kassandra, which informed her of his whereabouts. Kassandra engaged him in naval combat aboard her own trireme, the Adrestia, and sunk his ship killing him in the process.[3]
