Nehal (Persian: نهال) was a psychological manifestation of the Isu Loki within the mind of his incarnation, Basim Ibn Ishaq. While struggling with understanding his nature as a reborn Isu, Basim mistakenly perceived Nehal to be real and his oldest friend and companion.[1]

Within Basim's mind, Nehal was a fellow thief who grew up alongside him on the the streets of Baghdad during the mid-9th century. Although often seen as a stubborn loner, she and Basim shared a bond like no other, and Nehal was initially the only person to be aware of Basim's struggles with nightmarish visions of a jinni, which she helped him cope with. However, their relationship became strained over time due to Basim's desire to join the Hidden Ones.[2]
