Mohammad Rezā Shāh Pahlavi, Shah of Iran and Persia (25 October 1919 – 27 July 1980), ruled Iran from 16 September 1941 until his overthrow by the Iranian Revolution on 11 February 1979. He was the second and last monarch of the House of Pahlavi of the Iranian monarchy.

He was the king of Persia from 1941 till 1979. His dynasty was placed by the 1979 revolution lead by Ruhollah Khomeini. The first leader of Iran in the Islamic Republic. Mohammad Reza Pahalavi was named Ariamehr by Iranian people. He was a close friend to Richard Nickson; former president of The U.S. He died in 1980 in Cairo because of blood cancer.
