Joseph Ettenreich (1800 – 1875) was an Austrian butcher who lived in Vienna during the 19th century. A regular of the tavern Nachzehrer Cellar in the city, he was a friend of the Hungarian tailor János Libényi and the former English soldier Simeon Price, who went by the identity of Jack Straw.

On the 18th February 1853, Joseph, alongside Maximilian Karl Lamoral O'Donnell, thwarted an attempt by János to assassinate the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph.[1]
