Docked Naukleros Ship

The Docked Naukleros Ship was a commercial monoreme located in Faiyum Oasis that was moored on a wharf west of Krokodilopolis. The ship held two treasure chests guarded by three Greek soldiers, and around it were warehouses containing shipments and goods to and from the city.

In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa plundered the ship of its valuables after dealing with the guards.^[1]

Trivia

Naukleros is a Greek word that roughly translates to 'owner' denoting that is a mercantile ship.
