Assassin's Creed: Pirates is a spin-off game for smartphones and tablets developed by Ubisoft Paris. The game follows the pirate, Alonzo Batilla, who holds the key to finding the treasure of the French pirate La Buse. The game focuses on naval combat and is set in the 18th century, similar to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
History
The game was announced on 10 September 2013. A debut trailer was released, showing the story and naval combat.[1] The game was released on 5 December. On 4 September 2014, a new update called "Cold Blood" was released, incorporating Arctic areas inspired by Assassin's Creed: Rogue. The game also became free to play.[2]
Bugs and Glitches
- Upon spawning or winning a battle, large numbers of resources appear close to the player (tested on iOS).
- During the enemies first turn of battle, it is possible for your ship to spawn on the far side of the screen, causing an unavoidable shot. This clears up after the first shot is delivered (tested on iOS).
- Uncommonly, yours or your enemy's chance to shoot will disappear completely, making Assassination contracts harder if you wish to achieve 100% synchronisation (tested on iOS).
- If you sail too close to the islands during Navigation Mode, your ship can usually glitch inside the island (tested on iOS).
- The game has a medium chance of crashing at the end of the main storyline missions, meaning you have to restart the mission (tested on iOS).
