Assassin's Creed: Pirates is a spin-off game for smartphones and tablets developed by Ubisoft Paris. The game follows the pirate Alonzo Batilla, who holds the key to finding the treasure of the French pirate La Buse. The game focuses on naval combat and is set in the early 18th century, similar to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The game is no longer available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

The game was announced on 10 September 2013 with Assassin's Creed III: Liberation HD.[1] A debut trailer was released, showing the story and naval combat.[2] The game released on 5 December 2013.[3] A web demo version of the game released, the game was built with open-source framework Babylon.js.[4] The game was becoming free to play on 4 September 2014.[5]

Since its release, the game has had several updates which added new gameplay options to the game.
- On 9 January 2014, the first update was released, included new location Nassau.[6]
- On 16 May 2014, the third update was released, included new location La Boca del Diablo.[7]
- On 11 July 2014, the fourth update was released, included new location Isla de la Juventud.[8]
- On 4 September 2014, an update called "Cold Blood" was released, incorporating Arctic areas inspired by Assassin's Creed: Rogue.[5]
- On 18 December later that year, another update called the "The Lost Temples" update was released. This update gave players the opportunity to leave their ships and explore hidden Mayan Temples on land.[9]
