Västerås is a city in central Sweden on the shore of Lake Mälaren.
History
In October 2016,[1] the Templar agent Cole traveled south-west from an Uppsalan barn to Västerås in hopes of finding the Trident of Eden's final prong. Inside the headquarters of the bottled spring water company Dolkkälla, Cole ascertained that the prong was kept on the corporate museum's grounds and reported the information to her boss, the Abstergo Industries employee and fellow Templar Isaiah.[2] 18 hours later, hot on Isaiah's trail and eager to get the Trident prong first, a group of teenagers who were all involved in an Ascendance Event at the Aerie entered the country. Owen Meyers, Natalya Aliyev, Grace Collins, and the Assassin Griffin flew into the Stockholm Västerås Airport using fake IDs, passports, and commercial tickets procured by their temporary Templar ally Victoria Bibeau.[3]
After landing, Griffin rented an SUV for the group and drove to a hardware store for shovels before they continued onward to the city's countryside. Getting to the forest and eventually the Dolkkälla buildings themselves, the group learned where the prong and waited until evening to grab it. Griffin infiltrated the facility alone, but Abstergo guards in helicopters appeared and fired gunshots. Griffin, pursued by agents, raced towards the springhouse. Realizing Griffin was trapped, Owen raced to his aide with only a shovel while Grace followed moments after, leaving Natalya behind.[4]
Grace, Owen, and Griffin fought off Abstergo agents in a desperate struggle. Regrouping with Natalya, the group tried to help Griffin, who urged them to leave him in light of a severe injury he had sustained and handed Grace the prong. Despite Owen's objections, they fled, and Griffin succumbed to his injuries in a stream. At first evading pursuit, they were soon captured by Abstergo agents led by Isiah, who took the dagger from Grace announced his plans to reinitiate the Ragnarök cycle.[5] Sean Molloy, in a bulletproof self-driving SUV named "Poindexter", came up the road to their rescue. Narrowly escaping Isaiah, the four teenagers made their way back to the airport and traveled back to the Aerie in the United States to complete the Ascendance Event and defeat Isaiah.[6]
