The Valley of the Kings is a valley in Egypt which served as a necropolis for various pharaohs and nobles from the New Kingdom period. The valley is stood on the west bank of the Nile and opposite Thebes. Tutankhamun, one of the most prominent pharaohs of the Eighteenth Dynasty was buried in a tomb in the valley.
