The Messenger was a title attributed to a number of unidentified members of the Isu, who delivered various messages following the Great Catastrophe, and buried them within vaults located throughout Egypt. These messages were designated for Layla Hassan, who in 2017 relived the memories of the Medjay Bayek of Siwa. Layla later documented these messages in a folder on her laptop, titled The Empirical Truth.

These messengers were dubbed, in chronological order:

In addition, each of their messages was prefaced by a 'Pedestal messenger', that stated the segment's number and date.
