Teti was the son of Minhotep, a man who was remembered by the people of Siwa, Egypt as a great leader who presided over a time of prosperity. Teti's mother Agathoclea was similarly honored for her brilliance. All three were buried within the Mountain of the Dead in separate chambers after their deaths.
