The Persian Brotherhood of Assassins[1] was the branch of Assassins that operated in Iran. Prior to its foundation, the organization had at least one major predecessor during the Achaemenid Empire: Darius, a man whose assassination of the King of Kings Xerxes I was the first recorded usage of the Hidden Blade in history. It remained active into the 18th century, where its agents sought the Koh-i-Noor and the death of the usurper Nāder Shāh.
