Mobare was a bandit in Egypt during the 1st century BCE. His gang had established a base in the necropolis that laid in the desert west of Yamu. There, the leader of Mobare's gang stashed a collection of Books of the Dead he had robbed from innocent people such as the elderly Yamuan man Beka.[1]

In 48 BCE, Mobare received a letter from his boss detailing this and ordering him to track down each of the owners of the Books to demand ransom for their return. This was not to be, however, for Beka had enlisted the aid of the Medjay Bayek of Siwa. In short order, Bayek killed all the bandits at the hideout and recovered the books.[1]
