Mobare was a bandit in Egypt during the 1st century BCE. His gang had established a base in the necropolis that laid in the desert west of Yamu. There, the leader of Mobare's gang stashed a collection of Books of the Dead he had robbed from innocent people such as the elderly Yamuan man Beka.[1]
In 48 BCE, Mobare received a letter from his boss detailing this and ordering him to track down each of the owners of the Books to demand ransom for their return.
