Mikinosuke was a Japanese jeweler who lived in Aizu. At the brink of war in 1868, Mikinosuke had to move his jewelry stand to make way for shogun Tokugawa Yoshinobu's army recruiters looking for men to fight Emperor Mutsuhito's forces.[1]
