The Libyan Rite of the Templar Order was the branch of the Templar Order based in Libya during the Renaissance.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1511, the Templars abducted the Spanish military engineer and general Pedro Navarro in Tripoli after he had been visited by Ottoman Assassins sent by the Italian Mentor, Ezio Auditore. However, the Assassins managed to locate and rescue Navarro,[1] who subsequently informed them that the Templars were being commanded from Rhodes. Afterwards, the Assassins cut off the Templars' supply and communication lines,[2] and eventually expelled them from the city.[3]
