Lethe running through Hypnos' Path

In Greek mythology, Lethe is the name of one of the rivers of the underworld, surrounding the Elysium.

Said to be the river of forgetfulness, drinking from the river was said be the cure for the "saddest condition known to man: a broken heart."[1]

Trivia

  • λήθη (lḗthē) is Greek for 'oblivion, forgetfulness'.
  • According to the mythology, Lethe's origin was at the cave wherein the god Hypnos lived.
