The Kreios was a pirate trireme haunting the northern shores of the island of Lesbos with lesser pirate vessels during the 5th century BCE.
During the Peloponnesian War the Adrestia, commanded by the Spartan misthios Kassandra and captained by Barnabas, engaged the Kreios and his companions in battle, and sank it. Kassandra claimed the sail and finery of Kreios for her own.[1]
