Hreidmar Palace

Hreidmar Palace was the palace of the late King Hreiðmarr atop a mountain, in southeastern Gullnámar, Svartálfaheimr. During the Muspel invasion, the palace was overrun by Muspel warriors, led by the illegitimate son of Surtr, Glöð.

History

In the Isu Era, Odin started to travel to Hreidmar Palace, after being told by the dwarf, Fritjof, of the relic he found earlier and being taken by the Muspels.[1] Odin arrived at the palace and searched for the relic and heard Einar being scolded by Glöð. Entering into the palace, Havi steathily saw how Einar was being interrogated forcibly by Glöð. However, Einar and Glöð noticed Havi watching and Glöð threw Einar towards Havi and escaped. Left with the other Muspel guards, Havi fought them off and then rescued Einar from the palace. Quickly, Odin carried Einar and left the palace.[2]

Through his travels, Odin found and collected a story called Gæfuleysi and the Rancid Troll from a pile of boxes outside the palace.[3] Odin also stole two Platinum ingots from two distinct Muspel guards at the palace and found a locked chest, too. Looking around, Odin found a key within a small cave a little under the palace, opened the chest, and acquired the war hammer, the Legacy of Ivaldi. Attached to the palace, Odin found an incomplete light puzzle setup besides a locked small building. Odin saw and reconstructed the light puzzle, which unlocked the small building. Inside, Odin found a Book of Knowledge and learned the ability, Explosive Retreat.[4]
