Fritjof was a dwarven miner and informant for the Sons of Ivaldi in Gullnámar, Svartálfaheimr.

Biography[edit | edit source]

During the Muspel invasion of Svartalfheim, Fritjof worked as an informant for the Sons of Ivaldi and noticed his cousin Tyra captured and imprisoned at Smelting Foundry. Receiving no help from the Sons of Ivaldi, Fritjof went to save her but was captured and taken to the cells alongside Tyra before being later taken to the Fornama Dig Site to look for an artifact. During his search, he found the relic but it shined a intensive light, temporarily blinding him. He was then caged until he was found and rescued by the Æsir lord Havi, who was looking for him. Escaping the dig site, Havi carried him to a cliff and met with Tyra. Fritjof then informed Havi of the relic's location with his father Einar at Hreidmar Palace and told him to kill Einar for betraying the Sons.[1]

Afterwards, both cousins traveled back to Gunborg at Grenhellir Shelter.[1] However, Fritjof was convinced by Tyra to forgive his father Einar and then met with Havi and Einar upon their escape from the palace. After Fritjof and Einar reconciled, Havi ordered them to help him enter the Vault of the Ancients within the Old City.[2]

Fritjof and Tyra secretly invaded their way back through Uldar and found themselves in the Old City as he was berated by Tyra for ordering the death of Einar, who only aided the Muspels to save him. When Havi came, they were given the Sunstone and they all started to work on opening the vault. Despite configuring the light beams, the mechanism did not open the vault. As they pondered on the issue, Einar came in running from Muspel guards. Fritjof, Einar, and Tyra began to fix the light beam while Havi defended them from the incoming Muspels.[3]

Successfully, they succeeded in holding off the enemy and opening the vault, but were shocked to find Ivaldi alive, contrary to the claim of his death by the Muspels. The device was dismantled by Ivaldi, who took the vital components from it. They all then quickly made their way out of the vault until Surtr's wife Sinmara arrived to stop them. Fortunately, Havi held Sinmara off while Fritjof and the others escaped. Being bested again, Sinmara fled their fight. After they all had returned to Grenhellir Shelter, Havi heard a commotion and was challenged by Glöð outside the shelter. Havi immediately fought and killed Glöð in combat. Back in the shelter, Fritjof and his family thanked Havi for his help and later made themselves useful to the Sons of Ivaldi at the shelter.[3]
