Cult of Serqet was a cult that sprang up around a man called Prophet of Serqet in Egypt during the 1st century BCE.

Sometime before 48 BCE, the Prophet of Serqet experienced a revelation, leading him to discard his old name, and "take her name". He believed that she would eventually show him and his followers the road to immortality, if only they sacrificed 'proper' victims to her, and read the organs they harvested from the dead right.[1]
