Bion was a Greek farmer who lived in Dionysias, Egypt. Zahra was his neighbor and friend.

In 47 BCE, bandits plagued Dionysias, and Bion sent servants to track them down, finding they had made their base at some ruins in the White Desert. In retaliation, the bandits overtook Bion's farm and threatened to burn him, as per their leader's instructions. The Medjay Bayek of Siwa saved him from this fate together with Zahra.^[1]
