Resheph was a war elephant stationed at a military camp situated in Uab Nome, Egypt, alongside another elephant, Qetesh.
In the mid-1st century BCE, both Resheph and Qetesh were hunted down by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, who claimed a predator bow from them as a reward.
Trivia
- Resheph was a Canaanite deity associated with plagues but was later adopted into the Egyptian pantheon as a war god of horses and chariots. His name could be translated as 'flame, lightning' or b'urning fever, plague, pestilence'. He is normally depicted alongside the goddess Qetesh.
