Karkh is a district in the western half of Baghdad, serving as the marketing district where large crowds gathered to do business and trade goods from China, Constantinople and Spain.[1] During the 9th century, the district was split into three seperate suburbs, the harbor region of Sharqiyah, the market region of Tabik containing The Bazaar, and the Fief of Rayasanah situated outside the Round City.
In the 860s, Karkh was one of the districts chosen by the Hidden Ones Mentors Fuladh and Roshan to have a new bureau established.[2]
