Eshe's mummy

Eshe was the daughter of Khaliset, a member of the Order of the Ancients who operated during the 1st century BCE. After dying under uncertain circumstances, her death led her mother to search for a way to ressurect her back to life.

Some years prior to 48 BCE, Khaliset begun gathering silica, a mysterious material, for the Order of the Ancients. After discovering an ancient vault beneath the Great Pyramid of Giza and finding multiple strange symbols and pedestal, she abandoned her mission and sought to find ways to active the pedestal, believing she could bring her daughter back to life.[1]

To this end, Khaliset captured a number of Egyptians in Giza and sacrificed them as offerings to Osiris, the Lord of the Duat, in the chamber. She also sought to replicate the symbols, but her efforts remained fruitless.[1]

In 48 BCE, Khaliset was tracked down by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa due to her membership within the Order. During his search, Bayek discovered Eshe's remains, and realized what Khaliset had attempted. Still, he killed her, and with her dying breath, Khaliset begged to see her daughter again.[1]
