This article is about the French healer. You may be looking for the woman who lived at the Davenport Homestead.

Catherine was a healer who lived in the Landes region of France and the adoptive mother of Margaux and Ermeline. In 1609, Catherine was denounced for witchcraft by a patient and taken to Bayonne, where master inquisitor and Templar Pierre de Lancre searched for an artefact belonging to her. Catherine refused to talk and was burned alive in front of her daughters.[1]
