Zürich is a city in northern Switzerland.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1855, Simeon Price spent two weeks in the city, trying to find the escaped Italian convict Felice Orsini. After spying on Orsini's family and talking with the locals, Price found no indication of Felice's presence and soon left for Paris to track down Orsini.[1]

In 1867, the French Assassin Henri Escoffier arrived in the city on an assignment to aid Mikhail Bakunin on his revolutionary mission. While there, he founded the Zurich Brotherhood and stationed their base of operations in fellow Assassin Irene Egli's home. In 1873, Henri welcomed Simeon and his lover and former Templar, Countess Konstanze von Visler, at the Assassins' base. Explaining their rules and methods, all three agreed to work together as they continued Konstanze's training as an Assassin.[2]

In the next three years, Henri assigned Konstanze her first mission in Brussels to assassinate Maynard Poole.[2] However, after Henri returned, he and his Assassins were met by Simeon, who informed them of Konstanze's betrayal. Instantly, they burned down Egli's home and relocated to a safehouse. The Assassin Beatrice was sent to Simeon and Konstanze's cabin in the Swiss Alps, but found no trace of the latter. The Assassins then made locating and eliminating Konstanze their priority, but excluded Simeon from the mission due to his personal feelings.[3]
