The Miltiades Fort

The Miltiades Fort was a fort set up in ancient ruins on the northern coast of the Mykonos island, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the fort, killing the Athenian polemarch and the captains, burning supplies and looting the Nation Chest.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The fort was referred to as the 'Mykonos Fort' by the Spartan polemarch Thaletas in his letter addressed to the kings of Sparta.
