Lestris was a small island located south of Keos and east of Seriphos, Greece. With Keos and Seriphos, Lestris was part of the Pirate Islands.
Near the southern tip of Lestris, by a shipwreck, laid the underwater cave known as the Wailing Cavern.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra heard about a precious cargo of miltos that had gone missing near Lestris.[2] As she sought out the valuable material, she came across the shipwrecked Gotarzes and his mutinying crew.[3]
