The Guesthouse's exterior

The Guesthouse, also called Katagogeion, was a building located within the Sanctuary of Asklepios in Argolis, Greece.

Built to house the visitors to the sanctuary, the Katagogeion also served as the residence of the theorodokoi. The theorodokoi were men of influence whose sponsorship and liaisons with the theoroi ensured the maintenance of the sanctuary, and whose duty it was to appear in religious festivals, mainly Asklepeia.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Guesthouse was occupied by military. It was also where Mydon, an elder priest of Asklepios, resided at the time.[2]
