Tuam is a town in western Connacht, Ireland. Hidden underneath the town, the cult, the Children of Danu, had a base to conduct their rituals and affairs.

History[edit | edit source]

In the late 9th century, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir inspected the town, after following a clue from the personal effects of Lady Niamh, "The Wren, and discovered "The Cursed" conducted her business at a hut within the settlement. Finding the hut, Eivor found a note which detailed of a cavern below the settlement thus Eivor investigated the area, only to find the cavern at the bottom of a pit.[1]

Eivor probed the cavern and discovered a druid lair of the Children of Danu. Upon her investigation, Eivor found clues about the High Druid, The Cursed, as she saved a prisoner, who witnessed accounts of his friends being sacrificed. After freeing the man, Eivor left the area and went to find Ciara ingen Medba to talk with her about her findings.[1]

Throughout her ventures within Tuam, Eivor also found a chest within one of the town's huts and retrieved a tungsten ingot. Within the Children of Danu's cavern, she also discovered a Book of Knowledge and learned the ability, "Irish Wolfhound."[2]

Tuam's name means either, "mound" or "burial place."
