Sebni

Sebni was an Egyptian man living in the rebel camp of Remetch Ra during the 1st century BCE.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Around 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa passed through the rebel camp, and heard about missing children. Nawa told him that her cousin, Sebni, had told the children stories about Alexander the Great, and gotten in their head the idea to go treasure hunting. Afterwards, Sebni and Khamet had headed after the children, but were caught.[1]
Bayek found both men held at Camp Hetoimazo and freed them. Sebni lamented he should not have told the children those stories, but he only wanted them to dream. He informed Bayek they probably headed for Alexander's Temple which he told them about. Medjay headed there with Khamet, while Sebni rode to Theos Elpis Rift to check if children had not returned there.[1]
Istellah indeed found her way back to rebel camp, trying to get help for Hetanu who remained in the temple trapped by snakes. However the camp was attacked by Ptolemaic soldiers led by Medon. He demanded the shield the girl found in the temple and when she refused, he kidnapped her in order to question her whether there is more treasure to be found. When Bayek, who has rescued Hetanu, reached the camp, rebels were clashing with the soldiers which they defeated with Medjay's help. Sebni told Bayek that Istellah was taken to Pissa Oros Citadel and urged him to rescue her and kill Medon who was patrolling the area, which Medjay did.[1]
