Rheinberg

Rheinberg was a Frankish village build along the River Rhine in the southern part of the region, west of Katzenelnbogen. It featured a large number of houses and was surrounded by many crop fields.

In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by the Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and her longship crew.^[1]
