Ove

Ove, also known as Ove the Scarred, was a Norse flyter who lived in Sciropscire, England during the 9th century.

In the 870s, Ove met and encountered the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir during her time in the shire, and challenged her to a flyting duel. When it became apparent that he was losing the challenge, Ove turned the flyting session into a brawl and fought against the shieldmaiden. Eivor ultimately proved victorious, winning both the challenge and wager from Ove.^[1]
