Otta Sluggasson was a Danish Viking who lived during the 9th century.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Otta, son of Slugga, lived near near the border of Sciropescire and Ledecestrescire, southwest of Tonnastadir, in a small estate off Dudmastun Lake. He was popular was children, and three of his most ardent fans would stay close to him and cheer him on, calling him "the Hammer of Stones" or "the Rocker of Rocks." Otta demonstrated his talent by tossing stones in the air and smacking them some distance away with his spiked club. During the 870s, Otta was challenged by the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan. After beating Otta's record of hitting five targets within thirty-seconds, he commended the Norsewoman, but added that he would be ready for a rematch at anytime.[1]

Otta Sluggasson is a character in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. He is based upon and voiced by Cody Bellinger, an American professional baseball player, at the time playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bellinger confirmed his appearance in the game on Twitter.[2][3]
