Tomb of Tityos
"I think it's unwise for man to revere Tityos. He angered Zeus and the other gods, after all."
―Kassandra[src]

The Tomb of Tityos was a monumental statue depicting the punishment of the giant Tityos, located within the Valley of the Snake in Phokis, Greece.

The half-buried statue featured the giant as well as two vultures, feasting on his liver and intestines, as according to the myth was his punishment for attempting to rape Leto, the mother of the divine twins Artemis and Apollo.[1]

Around 431 BCE the misthios Kassandra visited the monument, finding it crawling with guards loyal to the Cult of Kosmos.[1]
