They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me The Hydra.

This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias.

This article is a stub. You can help Assassin's Creed Wiki by expanding it.

The individual known as The Hydra (died 420s BCE), also known as Hydra the Many-Headed was a Sage of the Cult of Kosmos and considered one of the Gods of the Aegean Sea during the Peloponnesian War.

He was eventually hunted down and killed in naval combat by the Spartan misthios Kassandra on her quest to destroy the Cult.

Trivia

  • Hydra shares his name with a mythical snake with multiple heads, which could regenerate whenever they were cut off. The beast itself was slain by Herakles as his second labor, with the aid of his nephew Iolaos, by burning the Hydra's necks, so that it could not regenerate new heads.
    • The mythological Hydra was also said to be the offspring of Typhon and Echidna, making it a sibling of the Sphinx
