The Depth of the Forge was the name for the depths of the volcanic isle, Foundry of Hephaistos, located east of Argolis, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War the misthios Kassandra explored the place, finding that Followers of Ares had set up a camp there. She slew their leader and took their valuables.^[1]
