"We will destroy your statues. We will burn down your temples if that's what it takes to rid the world of rodents like you."--Silanos of Paros

Silanos of Paros (died 420s BCE) was a member of the Cult of Kosmos, during the Peloponnesian War.

Character Description

For ages, Silanos searced out the origins of the bloodline, until he found it – Myrrine was ruling Naxos. As a gift for his discovery, the Cult "disposed" of the leader of Paros, Naxos's sister island, and gifted it to Silanos. To avoid suspicion, Silanos posed as an Athenian polemarch, plotting his next move: one day, he'd have Myrrine's island, and her head.

Biography

Silanos was sent by the Cult to eliminate Myrrine as part of their quest to eliminate the bloodline. To get close to her, he eliminated the leader of the neighboring island of Paros and took his place, he then took money from an Olympic champion so he could afford an army big enough to invade Myrinne's island of Naxos.

He was eventually hunted down and killed by the Spartan misthios Kassandra over the course of her quest to destroy the Cult.

Clues

  • Cultist Attack on Naxos--Myrrine, the bold leader of Naxos island, was a marked target. The Cult's gaurds were involved in the plot, meaning a cultist was behind it all. They were carrying pouches heavy with Paros coins that directly points to Silanos, a rival oligarch of Paros.

Trivia

  • In the novel Silanos dies from losing his lower half when thrown from his ship after being rammed by the Adrestia. He lives just long enough to realize his entrails are being eaten by fish before succumbing.
