Shergar was a former monk at Augustine's Priory. Shergar later found work as a body double for Thegn Tedmund, in 9th century Cent, England.

Biography

Not much is known about Shergar, however he was once a brother to the monks at Augustine's Priory. However, Shergar left due to the lifestyle not being to his liking. Shergar later found work by masquerading as Thegn Tedmund, under Tedmund's employment.[1]

Shergar was later given the duty to oversee the work and supply-loading at Beamasfield, a lumber mill in Cent. Posing as Tedmund, Shergar's presence was mistakenly noted by the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq, who shared his information with Abbot Cynebert and the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan. Within time, "Tedmund" was kidnapped by Basim and Eivor from his overseer position. Shergar pleaded for his life while both Basim and Eivor took him to Cynebert.[1]

Upon meeting with Cynebert, Shergar pleaded not to die and wanted to tell the truth. Shergar explained that he was not Tedmund and had been acting as a body double for the thegn. Under the threat of his own life, Shergar noted that a bunch of Danes were recently taken hostage. Shergar explained that Eivor and Basim could use the reinforcements. Agreeing with this assessment, Shergar was released from nearly dying as Eivor and her allies agreed to help the captured Danes.[1]

Behind the scenes

Depending on Eivor's choice, Shergar may have helped her and Basim release the captured Danes or went with Cynebert, who advised him to keep a vow of silence on the matter.
