Beamasfield

Beamasfield was an Anglo-Saxon village that was used as lumber mill in Cent, England.

History[edit | edit source]

In 874, Beamasfield became a site used to collect lumber for King Alfred the Great's fortification against the Viking invasion.[1] From his investigation in Cent, the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq let both his allies, Abbot Cynebert and Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan know that he heard rumors of the thegn Tedmund being stationed there. Thus, Eivor and Basim traveled to Beamasfield to collect Tedmund and bring him to Cynebert "captured." Upon their search, she and Basim found and abducted "Tedmund," who was actually a decoy, a former monk named Shergar.[2] Throughout her journey, Eivor also found chest within one of Beasmasfield's houses, unlocked it, and retrieved the Brigandine Gauntlets.[3]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Coincidentally, the location corresponds to a current sawmill, South East Oak Sawmills.
