Poiessa Village was a village on the western coast of Keos, Greece, that was once a prominent polis which flourished during the 7th to 6th century BCE.

Poiessa was considered an important farming area due to its fertile valley and position close to the coast. It's spot made it advantageous for coastal defense and monitoring maritime traffice to Athens.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War], the village was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]
